About Us

At Swoosh Capital, we take this a step further: We connect the East with the West, between Asia and Europe, and vice versa, as we bring investment opportunities from the Old World to the New World that we are all part of now.

We also connect expertise in respective fields, such as in technology, engineering and innovation, with opportunities in the new paradigm, related to sustainable development, food source diversification, global connectivity and digitalisation. 

Swoosh Capital Ltd. is located and registered in Budapest, Hungary. The company’s 100% shareholder is Kelso Capital Ltd. We have an operating holding company in the Netherlands, but we created Swoosh Capital to capture Central and Eastern European growth opportunities. Hungary is perfectly positioned to host these activities. We already have established all activities, partners and inventors, and the local management team in cooperation with our Dutch company.

Swoosh Capital Ltd. has also invested in long-term infrastructure-related assets that provide stable returns and diversified risk-return profile. Thus far, our investment portfolio is in excess of EUR1 billion as at FY2020, with our investment reach as far as Asia, in markets such as the Philippines and Sri Lanka, through our wholly-owned subsidiary companies, such as:

Tamás Galambos

Managing Director of Swoosh Capital Ltd.

Tamás Galambos is the Managing Director of Swoosh Capital Ltd. Tamás is an experienced International Affairs Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in the government sector and in the management consulting industry. He is skilled in International Relations and Diplomacy, Public Affairs and Government Relations, Project Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Crisis Communications and Media Relations, NGO management, and Networking.

Prior to joining Swoosh Capital, he worked for the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the Director for International Affairs.

He is currently holding the position of the President in the International Economy Section of the Hungarian Economic Society, the oldest and largest association of the Hungarian economists. 

Tamás is a strong multilingual business development professional with a proven track record in both Central Europe and the Middle East.

Robert Edwards

100% shareholder and Managing Director of Kelso Capital Ltd.

Robert Edwards is the 100% shareholder and Managing Director of Kelso Capital Ltd. thus holding 100% of the shares of Swoosh Capital Ltd. Robert has been in the financial services industry for more than 20 years. He has previously worked in the Compliance and Anti-Money laundering departments of Barclays Bank PLC and Citigroup. Prior to working for these international banks, he was Legal Counsel to a listed company in Singapore that focused on international property development and engineering. He also worked on corporate finance and debt restructuring projects for several large Indonesian corporations.

Achievements include USD300 million bond issuance for an Indonesian toll road company, USD200 million purchase of a 50% interest in a hotel/shopping centre in Singapore, financing initiatives for property acquisitions and development in Singapore, Indonesia, Laos and China, debt refinancing arrangements for Indonesian public companies following the Asian financial crisis in 1998. He also implemented anti-money laundering and KYC programs in Citigroup following the enactment of the USA Patriot Act as well as various compliance program initiatives in Barclay’s European banking offices.

Andrea Bőhm

Andrea Bőhm is the Office Manager of Swoosh Capital Ltd. She has extensive experience in Public Relations, Marketing strategy, Office management, Communication and Client management. 

Prior to joining Swoosh Capital, she dealt with the office management and Public Relations of various Hungarian companies and institutions.
